COACHHow the coach answers

The coach reads your logs, not the internet.

Three illustrative exchanges, written by us to show what the coach is grounded in. They are not transcripts from real users. The chips under each answer are the data the coach actually receives.

What the coach sees on every message: your active programs, the conditions you told us about, today’s symptoms and approximate BASDAI, your seven-day BASDAI average, your last workout, the calorie totals from your last three meals, your last logged injection, and your recent HRV and sleep. Nothing else. AI responses can be incorrect; medication and treatment decisions belong to your clinician.

Why am I so tired this week?

Coach

Your HRV has been below your recent average for three mornings and you logged under six hours of sleep two nights running. Today’s fatigue is 6 of 10 and your seven-day BASDAI average is 4.1. Your last workout was Sunday’s full-body session.

I can’t tell you why from here — poor sleep, rising disease activity, or both would look like this. What I can suggest: make today a mobility day, log tonight’s sleep, and if BASDAI is still climbing by Friday, bring the trend to your rheumatologist. The chart is on the AS tab.

Should I take my Humira this week?

Coach

That is a decision for you and your rheumatologist, not for me, and I won’t recommend taking, skipping, or moving a dose. Here is what I can see so you have it in front of you: your last logged injection was 12 days ago and your seven-day BASDAI averages 2.8.

If anything has changed — a fever, a cough, a sore throat, a new medication — call your clinic before the dose. The manufacturer’s patient-assistance line is in the biologics directory if cost is part of the question.

What should I eat tomorrow? Big day.

Coach

I don’t have tomorrow’s plan — I only see what you have logged. Your last three meals were 410, 380, and 520 kcal, which came in under today’s calorie target.

A simple fix for tomorrow: a protein-anchored breakfast, and a lunch and dinner that each clear 500 kcal. The grocery list on the nutrition tab is built from your meal plan if you want to shop from it.

The coach is GPT-4o with a constrained system prompt and a fixed medical disclaimer. It is instructed never to recommend taking, skipping, or changing a medication; AI responses can still be incorrect, so discuss treatment decisions with your clinician. When a signal is missing, it says so instead of estimating. You can talk to it; it can read answers aloud. Free accounts get ten messages a day; Pro is unlimited.
