VerbaFit vs MacroFactor
MacroFactor is an adaptive macro coach: it updates your calorie and macro targets from your weight trend. VerbaFit does calorie and macro targets too, and adds a body scan, an AI coach you can talk to, recovery-aware workouts, and a free AS program.

What MacroFactor does well
MacroFactor's adaptive algorithm updates your targets weekly from your actual weight trend, explains why it changed them, and does it without requiring exercise logging. The food database is large, the barcode scanner is fast, and the data export is open and documented.
For people who want a macro coach that adapts to their metabolism and nothing else, it is a very good tool.
What VerbaFit adds
A body scan from three phone photos. An AI coach grounded in your meals, workouts, BASDAI, last injection, and recent HRV and sleep, with voice. A workout plan that switches to mobility-only when your symptom log says flare. VerbaFit reads HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep from Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. Each metric is available only if your device or its companion app writes it to the system store and you grant permission. There are no direct device or account connections yet, and device-specific scores (such as WHOOP strain, Oura readiness, or Garmin Body Battery) do not come through unless the underlying metric is shared.
An 84-nutrient food log, and an ankylosing spondylitis program — BASDAI, BASMI, flare log, clinician PDF, biologics directory — that is free for anyone with the diagnosis.
When to use which
Use MacroFactor if an adaptive macro target is the whole job. Use VerbaFit if you want a coach and a plan around the target, or you have AS.
