VerbaFit vs WHOOP
WHOOP is a recovery band. VerbaFit is an app. WHOOP tells you how recovered you are; VerbaFit puts the signals your wearable shares next to your food, your symptoms, and a coach, and adds the parts WHOOP does not do: an 84-nutrient food log, a body scan, and a free AS program.

What WHOOP does well
WHOOP's strain and recovery scoring is the reference point most of the category is measured against. The band is screenless and comfortable, the battery lasts well over a week, and the membership model means the hardware is included. For people who want the most complete consumer recovery system, WHOOP is the right call.
What VerbaFit adds
VerbaFit reads HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep from Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. Each metric is available only if your device or its companion app writes it to the system store and you grant permission. There are no direct device or account connections yet, and device-specific scores (such as WHOOP strain, Oura readiness, or Garmin Body Battery) do not come through unless the underlying metric is shared. What WHOOP shares with Apple Health or Health Connect reaches VerbaFit; WHOOP's own recovery score does not, so VerbaFit shows its own readiness from the raw signals it can see, and the coach reads your recent HRV and sleep.
On top of that: an 84-nutrient food log, a body scan from three phone photos, an AI coach, and an ankylosing spondylitis program that is free for anyone with the diagnosis. WHOOP is a sensor; VerbaFit is what you do with the data.
When to use which
If you already own a WHOOP, keep it and let its data flow through Apple Health or Health Connect. If you do not own one, VerbaFit works with whatever you have, including no wearable at all.
